The big reveal

Day 3 of opening up and we've got the covers off at least part of the site, good to see some of the archaeology again, gives everyone a lift after all the hard work, even if there's plenty more to do.

The team remain cheerful, even though everyone knows that there's plenty more rock and rotting seaweed to shift:

Gavin continues to build a ziggurat, finding it aesthetically pleasing to work with both black and yellow sandbags, he's aiming for a Victoria sponge effect:

We also managed to fit in a quick trip up the coast to Midhowe Broch and Tomb, via Skaill Farm and the Wirk and we took the opportunity for a quick team photo inside Midhowe:

We weren't skiving off, but were putting out all of our signboards along the way so people can find us when we open for visitors tomorrow, final boards to the Midhowe carpark first thing tomorrow then that's us ready to welcome everyone, hopefully the weather will be kind to us.
