Just another day in paradise

Another typical Orkney day, started with a torrential downpour and full waterproofs, finished with bright sunshine and T shirts. Star Find goes to this little mount, drilled at both ends but broken across the holes, made out of shale or some similar stone:

We have a new category of award today - Best Surprised Look on Realising Your Photo is Being Taken - which goes to Keith (although think we may need a snappier title for the award):

Possibly another category of Holding Forth in a Downpour Whilst Watching Puddles Form, which clearly goes to Caz, with a side award for colour coordinating hat and jacket:

Harry was persevering in his trench, which was rapidly filling with water quicker than he could bale it out, leaving him excavating by touch. We've had problems at the lower end of the site in past years, there are various freshwater springs under the site and sooner or later they start to surface, especially when the tide's in:

I found the post really engaging because it shows how everyday life on site can be unpredictable, from weather changes to ongoing work, but still feels rewarding and calm in its own way. It reminded me of a time I visited a coastal area where conditions changed quickly but the experience stayed memorable. When I was studying digital systems, I used computer science assignment service to understand how environmental data can be collected and analysed. It helped me see how tech connects with real world conditions.

I think Best Surprised Look on Realising Your Photo is Being Taken category should be named 'Gotcha!' or 'Smile, I've Gotcha' category.
