Sweltering in the sunshine

Despite the heavy overnight rain the site was OK this morning, but did need a bit of work to tidy up enough for the photos we needed to take

The sun came out pretty quick and we were soon sweltering in the heat, not quite up to the heatwaves they've been getting further south, but we must've been at least 15 or 16 degrees as we cleaned on:

Finally the photos were done and work carried on, still in perfect sunny conditions, with just the gentle lapping of the waves to disturb the peace and quiet.

At least the intermittent torrential downpours we've had mean that there's not much danger of wildfires here at the minute, there's some big ones way down in Moray and the Highlands, and yesterday morning you could smell the smoke from them here in Orkney!
