Another hot dry dusty day, but a least a brisk breeze kept the cleggs away even if it did start to feel a bit like we were all getting sandblasted by all the grit blowing around, which was of course all sticking to the copious layers of suncream that we were all wearing.

Rose scored an easy victory in the star find of the day contest, with the lovely little pot with a zig zag pattern on the bottom (the black and white scale is 20cm long):

Should really deduct a few points for it not being complete but still think it's a clear winner.

Alan and Julie were deep in discussion here, amazingly both their hats stayed on throughout the day:

The sieves have been going busily all day trying to keep up with all the activity on site, a bit of a dusty occupation with the strong breeze blowing everything around.

Finally just to finish off with, here the capping stones for a stone lined tank next to the partial remains of a nice round stone kerb for one of the many hearths. This will be getting nicely cleaned up in the morning for its photoshoot, a bit of overnight rain would help bring out the colours if we're lucky.

Just looked at the forecast and although cloudy they aren't offering us the chance of rain now, at the moment we seem to be either baking in the heat or under torrential rain clouds, can't win!
