It's finally stopped raining

A relief to be able to get back onto site today in dry weather, which turned hot and sunny by lunchtime. Just to make a bit of a change from hoicking sandbags out off the site we used some of them to make a nice safe access down to the beach below the site:

Some of the team then decided to test them for width and stability, luckily they passed the test:

It's been so wet recently that our access from the trailers out to site had become a quagmire, so we spent a couple of hours hauling flat rock and sand off the beach to put down and improve the path. Last week the whole beach had been rotting seaweed but luckily the recent high tides had cleared a fair stretch of sand and with the aid of our trusty trugs and a fair amount of sweat we shifted enough to do the job:

Not quite sure what's going on in this shot, something's being explained but no idea what, but at least the site is starting to look the part, even got Gavin and Michal organising the EDM in the background:

Hopefully the weather's going to hold for the rest of the week, tomorrow we need to give everything a good clean up, getting the last of the seaweed off site will be good!
